In this Video, I once again try my hand at building a Hexagon Wooden Wedding Arch. So I didn't actually fail this time around. The Hexagon arch exceeded my expectations and came out really good. In Part 2 of this saga, I skipped past the cutting and got right to the meat and potatoes. I think I have Hexagon math pretty well in the bag at this point. The 4x4 wood was definitely the right decision this time around. The chunky look and feel was already proving to be sturdy on its own before I added a few more securing measures.

So Let me tell you how I failed at building this Hexagon Wooden Arch. This was a huge undertaking because i had never built anything with angles so important before. I mean, if these angles weren't right, it would not be able to stand up. Once I figured out the angle, I had to scour the inter-webs to find out just how to make this angle work. This was part 1 in a two part series. I will be rebuilding this in a second video to which I will post here when completed. a.

Wavy American flag build is an illusion easily achieved with a few tools and some patience. This flag build was something i've never done before, but I wanted to make something that means a lot to me. I'm early in my woodworking journey and being a current Airman in the US Air Force Reserves, a veteran, and a firefighter, the American flag means a great deal to me. The illusion we were going for here was that of an American Flag Waving in the wind. I tried my had at powercarving using the Arbortech cutting wheel which is only one facet of the woodworking skillset. This thing cut wavy flag like butter. It is amazing what you can do if you step outside of your comfort zone a change. Hopefully, this wavy flag build will show you that you can do anything you put your mind too and maybe you'll try something new. In this video, i show you how to install Carpet TREADS on hardwood stairs and we'll DIY this in less than Half a day. Without the need of a compressor and nail gun, we managed to lay carpet treads on our stairs. This is an incredibly quick project. One that is both functional and ascetically pleasing. The treads go down with just two strips of double sided carpet tape and leave no residue behind, should you need to pull them up at some point in the future. If you have slippery stairs, I would highly recommend adding carpet treads to your stairs.

I'm doing a video today on the Burn off process with the new Pit Boss Pro Series 1600 grill I purchased. I've gone a whole year without a grill, trying to find the best fit for my cooking style. I think I nailed it with this Pit Boss Pro Series 1600. This Pit Boss grill has a large 1600 square inch cooking surface, sear box and best of all a cast iron griddle. I ran into a small packaging error, but Pit Boss was quick to make good on their mistake. All in all, I am very happy, thus far, with 3 cooks under my belt. Painting Vinyl Shutters is easier than you think. Let me show you just how easy it is to freshen them up and for a reasonable price. This project was a fun one. The Vinyl Shutters came down with just a little persuasion. Once they were off the house, it was the perfect time to power wash behind them. Going this route ended up being a whole lot cheaper than buying new shutters and with a quality paint like Sherwin Williams, Its guaranteed to to be a durable paint for years to come.

In this video I show you how I sealed my asphalt driveway. This was an easy task. I stopped by home depot and picked up all of the driveway asphalt sealing supplies I needed. I even borrowed a little chalk from my kids to write my calculations on the asphalt driveway. Realistically, the driveway sealing process can all be completed in one day if you have the right recipe of sunlight and decent temperatures. In my case, I was racing against the seasons with fall here and leaves dropping left and right. It was important to find at least 3 days of 50 plus degree temperatures and no rain for 36-48 hours after we poured our driveway sealer to ensure we had good adherence.
